About this service

Brakes Fitting & Brake Checks

A brake check covers pad thickness, disc condition and wear, caliper operation, handbrake function and brake fluid condition. We measure rather than guess, so you know exactly how much life is left before you need to book in for work.

When brakes do need attention, we fit pads, discs, calipers and flexible hoses to the correct spec for your vehicle, bleed and test the system, and road test before handing the car back. Brakes are one job we never do half-measures on.

  • Free visual brake check with any visit
  • Pad and disc thickness measured, not guessed
  • Pads, discs, calipers and hoses supplied and fitted
  • Handbrake adjustment and testing
  • Full road test before the car goes back to you

FAQs

Common questions about brakes.

Squealing usually means pads are near their wear limit; grinding often means metal-on-metal contact with the discs. A quick check will confirm exactly what is needed.
Yes, a visual brake check is included whenever your car is in for a tyre fitting or service, and we can do a standalone check on request.
It can — it is often air or moisture in the brake fluid, a worn master cylinder, or a hose issue. We would recommend getting it checked promptly rather than waiting.
